                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING EDITH DRIVE
                   LOCATED NORTHWEST OF JENKINS ROAD, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned Edith Drive located northwest of Jenkins Road, 
more
         particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached
         hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
                Part of Edith Drive, a 40 foot wide unopened
                right-of-way, beginning at Jenkins Road and going
                in a northwesterly direction some 792 feet to the
                rear property lines of lots 119 and 120 of the
                Ashwood Subdivision as recorded in plat book 46,
                page 23 ROHC; as shown by the attached tax map. 
                Tax Map 149B-C-29, 31 and 32.
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
